Today’s tip covers the reverse technique for partial matrix installation in posterior restorations. By following the manufacturer’s instructions, the contact point is positioned near the cervical, but by reversing the matrix, with the convex part facing up and the concave part towards the cervical, the contact point is better placed in the middle or occlusal third, resulting in a better fit.
